Gold Fever
A collection of correspondence, a section of a script, handwritten notes, song lyrics and sheet music. The correspondence is between LC and Robin Maconie and regards the development of ‘Gold Fever: A Ballad Opera’. The piece of music is titled ‘The Canterbury Goldfield’. The correspondence is dated 2006-2007, which is the only indication of dates in the collection. The paper quality of other documents suggests a significantly older date.

Loose Papers
A collection of handwritten notes, email correspondence and two copies lyric book ‘Gold Fever: A Ballad Opera’, devised by LC with music by Robin Maconie. The correspondence is with Maconie and discusses the production of the aforementioned publication. The photocopied version of the publication is edited and annotated. All the documents are dated 2006-2007.
Loose Papers
Contains a copy of the ‘Gold Fever: A Ballad Opera’ script both in typed and handwritten form. The play is set “during the West Coast gold rush in 1865”. It is labelled “Version 2, Jan. 14 2007”.
New House
A series of correspondence between LC and Graham McEwan of New House Publishers about the use of LC’s poem ‘Silent Generations’ in a play by Diane Bardsley. LC also uses the correspondence to propose his novel ‘A Secret Life’, which McEwan dismisses on the basis that New House Publishers exclusively caters to a secondary school market. The correspondence occurred between July 2996 and March 1998.
Robin Maconie
Contains a series of correspondence between LC and Robin Maconie, along with an edited and annotated copy of the ‘Gold Fever: A Ballad Opera’ lyric book. The correspondence is primarily concerning the production of the publication, including meeting times and potential target markets. The documents are all dated 2006-2007.
