A collection of order forms, handwritten notes, copies of photographic mounting cards held at the U.S. National Archives, copies of photos and copies of their indexing and subject information. The collection depicts an array of subjects, although they are predominantly connected to wartime activities. Such wars include the U.S. Civil war, WWI, WWII, the Korean war and the Vietnam war. A reproductive fees notice is dated from 1988. The date range of the original images is c. 1861-1966.

The former chronicles the events of the Korean war and discusses how uninformed about the war Korean youth are, while the latter shows its relevance to New Zealand history. Subject matter date range is 1950-2003.
