Includes various arguments about the treatment of ‘deserting’ or ‘mutinous’ soldiers, five of which were executed on the battlefield in WWI. Execution as an impetus of soldier obedience is frequently discussed. The publication date range is 1979-2005. The subject matter date range is 1916-2005.

All of the printed examples and the indicated examples in the handwritten notes are from 1918/1919. The date that the clippings were printed and notes were written is unknown.
