Handwritten list of items purchased at auction June 10th 1864 by R.H.Carpenter, 1864
A note written by Kathleen Coleridge (Special Collections Librarian 1974-2002) on reverse indicates that the auction was conducted by G.H.Vennell and on sale were 'General, scientific, technical, school books. The list was found in a copy of Wellington Provincial Council Acts and Proceedings.
Popular Press
Contains an ‘Inventory Reduction Sale’ catalogue from The Bowling Green State University, along with a letter addressed to them by LC, stating that they sent the wrong publication amongst his purchases. He requested ‘Symbiosis’ by Browne and Fishwick and was given ‘Dominant Symbols in Popular Culture’ by the same authors instead. The only date provided is for the inventory sale, c. November 1993.
