A series of correspondence between LC and Andrew R. T. Campbell of Octopus Publishing Group Ltd. regarding Campbell’s publication of ‘Bawdy New Zealand Songs’. The topic, Campbell highlights, is one that LC broaches in ‘Songs We Sang’ and he therefore asks LC to contribute some of the songs as well as a chapter of writing about them. A series of correspondence between LC and Graham McEwan of New House Publishers about the use of LC’s poem ‘Silent Generations’ in a play by Diane Bardsley. LC also uses the correspondence to propose his novel ‘A Secret Life’, which McEwan dismisses on the basis that New House Publishers exclusively caters to a secondary school market. The correspondence occurred between July 2996 and March 1998.
