The correspondence is regarding New Zealand Literature, Piero Madrillo's publication 'Svaghi Inglesi e Americani' and its translation and recognition of LC's teaching at Victoria University. A series of handwritten and typed poetry either by or collected by Richard ‘Dick’ Clemens, and a letter of correspondence from his daughter Anne Nithe. The poems reflect New Zealand back country culture, love, drinking and revelry. Also includes some racy greeting cards. The correspondence with Anne Nithe gives the only referable date of the collection as November 8, 1976. She also gives Clemens’ lifespan, 1885-1960.
