Berkeley
A collection of folkloric material retrieved from interviews conducted at Berkeley [university?]. Contains military folk songs, background information of the songs, parodies and taboos. The material mostly pertains to a WWII or Vietnam War context, discussing the soldier’s lifestyles and attitudes. The publication date range of the collection is c. 1960-1983.
Cambodia and Vietnam, 1966-1970
This collection consists of a variety of clippings, posters and other material collected by Keith Buchanan in the course of hs research. Included are strong collections of material related to the Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru (the Party of Wales), and some interesting posters from the People's Republic of China in the 1950s. There is also a wide range of smller sets of clippings reflecting Professor Buchanan's interests.

Fighter Pilot Songs Tuso, 1967 - 1991
Contains a copy of Major Joseph F. Tuso, Associate Professor of English, United States Air Force Academy Colorado (ed.), ‘Folksongs of the American Fighter Pilot in Southeast Asia, 1967-68’. Also contains some handwritten notes and a letter from LC to the Sales Department at the Texas A and M University Press, retrieving the piece of work. The letter is dated March 26, 1991.
G.I. Joe and His Buddies
A collection of printed articles, handwritten notes, newspaper clippings, advertisements and the typed manuscript of LC’s ‘G.I. Joe and His Buddies’. Details soldier camaraderie, morale, leisure, stereotyping and iconography. The publication date range is c. 1972-1989. The subject matter date range is c. 1908-1989.

A collection of printed articles (glossaries only) and handwritten notes. Includes Egyptian, Hindi, Military and medical terms, slang particularly used in the Vietnam war. Chronology of Vietnam war also included. Of the publication dates specified, the range appears to be 1965-2007. The chronology spans 1930-1954 (incomplete).

A collection of order forms, handwritten notes, copies of photographic mounting cards held at the U.S. National Archives, copies of photos and copies of their indexing and subject information. The collection depicts an array of subjects, although they are predominantly connected to wartime activities. Such wars include the U.S. Civil war, WWI, WWII, the Korean war and the Vietnam war. A reproductive fees notice is dated from 1988. The date range of the original images is c. 1861-1966.

Michael Martin - Text of Songs
Contains a song list, correspondence, song lyrics and biographical information. All documents are either written by, or about, Michael Martin and Tim Holiday. The two rose to fame for their Vietnam ballads that gave comfort and solace to returned servicemen and their families affected by the war. Many of the documents are undated but incorporating the subject matter, the overall date range of the collection is c. 1968-1986.
Mobilise, 1972
Poster featuring a stylised gas-mask against a red background. Photographs of dead bodies, tanks and fleeing civilians have been added to the goggles and other sections of the mask. The word 'Mobilise' is printed in large black letters below, with smaller text: 'Mobilisation July 14 1972' and 'Committee on Vietnam, Box 534, Wellington.' Tears on some corners.

Unknown Soldier
A collection of newspaper clippings, handwritten notes, printed articles, poems and sheet music. Details the New Zealand soldiers who fought in the Vietnam war and their experiences upon return, as well as the U.S. unknown soldiers who were returned post-WWI. The publication date range is c. 1929-2008.
U.S. Army Captions
A collection of handwritten notes, a digital copy of a photo print, a list of ‘Defense Audiovisual Agencies’ addresses, a ‘General Conditions of Sale’ from the Department of Defense Still Media Records Center and two ‘Record of inquiry’ sheets printed on fax paper. The only dated document is the Record of Inquiry’, which is 8/9/88. All the prints written down are either from the Vietnam War specifically or from a date range of c. 1966-1971.
U.S. Army Photos
A collection of photos from WWI, the Vietnam war and in the U.S. Subjects include: military mail workers; Red Cross workers; party attendees; Vietnamese scouts; Vietnamese children; U.S. marines in Vietnam; Medal award winners at Arlington, VA; American women and children; soldiers of unidentified nationalities; a female performer. Photo date range is c. 1914-1970, many remain unspecified.
