The correspondence is primarily to do enlisting LC to review new publications from NZ Books, often includes handwritten notes from Harry Ricketts, praising LC’s reviews. Also includes one of LC’s reviews of ‘Scars on the Heart: Two Centuries of New Zealand at War’ and a contract for guest lecturing at Victoria University. The date range is 1995-2009.

A series of correspondence between LC and Patricia Smith of the University of Pennsylvania Press. The correspondence begins with Smith’s interest in LC’s presentation for the American Folklore Society titled, ‘War Comics and Vietnam’, then goes on to discuss the potential publication of ‘Dark Laughter’ (of which as deemed unsuitable for that press). The date range is 1988-1991.
Watson, Alan Cameron (Lectures)
Contains a newspaper clipping about a visit by The Very Rev. A.C.Watson, of Toorak Presbyterian Church, Melbourne, and the typescripts of three lectures delivered at First Presbyterian Church in Invercargill.
The context of the newspaper clipping suggests March 1956, but Lecture One referes to the centenary of the Southland Province which was not officially proclaimed until 1861, although petitioning began in 1857.
