Black and white photograph of a man (thought to be University Librarian Harold Miller) reading in a library showing glass-fronted bookcases. The Beetham family established this library in 1884 for the staff of Brancepeth Station, then one of the largest properties in the Wairarapa region. In 1966 it was presented to Victoria University of Wellington Library, where it is kept in the original bookcases.
