Biographical / Historical
Bertha Isabel Langley Bogle (née Reeve) (01 Jul 1888 - 22 Jul 1946) became a student at Victoria University College in 1906, and while at Victoria she was involved in many student activities including the formation of the Women's Debating Society, the Glee Club, tennis and hockey. Bertha graduated M.A. Honours in Pure & Applied Mathematics in 1910, and became an assistant lecturer in mathematics at that time - she was one of the first women to do so. In 1911 she married fellow student Archibald Hugh Bogle, and left Victoria to move to Whanganui with him.
