Mr Richard Chilman's diary (or part of it)
The first five pages appear to be a record of correspondence June-December 1843 regarding land transactions. The remaining 41 pages are the diary, from the time of taking possession of a house at "Ewatoke" in Taranaki until the end of that year. Records the unfortunate accident of Captain Liardet with a gun on the Regina in November.
