Biographical/Historical note

Student revues had been part of University graduations since 1903, but Extravaganza as such date from c1920 to the 1980's. The shows combined songs and dramatic sketches written in the few weeks before their performance, and were undertaken by a different group each year. Documentation varies accordingly. Most Extrav scripts have been donated by alumni and were their individual annotated copies; they are described along with the other records which alumni may have kept. This is an artificial record group created by archival staff to descibe records from productions of Extrav which have no other documentation.
