Valder was a Hamilton businessman in the 1920s (?) -1940s, and very interested in ‘employee-partnership’. He founded the Employee Partnership Institute - JCBR has a partial set of their publications 1923-1945, chiefly by Valder, at callmark HD3110.4 A2 E55.
Valder sponsored A. E. C. Hare in a Labour Relations research position, 1941 - 1945.
