On page 323 of 'Print and politics: a history of trade unions in the New Zealand printing industry, 1865-1995' the author, Peter Franks, notes:

"This substantial collection was compiled by Bill Nairn on behalf of the Printing Trades Union to enable me to write this history... It includes Government Printing Office chapel records from the 1860s, minute books of printing trade unions in the Wellington area from the 1880s, a largely complete set of national union records from the early 1900s, a comprehensive collection of branch annual reports and minute books from Auckland (from the 1940s), Wellington (from the 1870s) and Christchurch (from the 1910s), and an almost complete run of 'Imprint' (the union's journal) from 1923 to 1994. These archives also include records of the Journalists Union".

Bill Nairn, who compiled the collection c1996, was the retired Secretary of the Wellington Branch of the NZ Printing, Packaging and Media Union.

As Peter Franks has cited resources by their Box number, no physical re-ordering will be undertaken.
