Notes from donor: "The melt-water stream from Miers Glacier began to flow on Christmas Day, right beside our campsite. We dammed it and celebrated Christmas Day with a 'swim', after a dinner of chicken, ham, and copious quantities of drambuie. Ian Willis found that the dark moraine has absorbed enough heat from the sun to enable sunbathing (for a short time)." Location: Miers Valley, Koettlitz Glacier region. People: Ian Willis (sunbathing) and Colin Bull (standing).
