PR Files
Scope and Contents note
The series titled 'B' at the time of transfer originally included both files containing public relations material (newsclippings and photographs etc.) about artists which appeared to have been gathered by or sent to NZSAC, and box files containing the records of various tours, events, performances, etc. actually organised by NZSAC. It has been described as two series - 'Artists-Individual Acts' for the box files or events organised by NZSAC, and 'PR Files' subdivided by the type of performance, for files which appeared to contain purely public relations material.
This 'PR Files' subseries contains envelopes arranged by type of performance (Drama, Dance, etc.) and within that by alphabetical name of act.
There is some crossover with events which were given larger box files and have been described as part of 'Artists - Individual Acts', although it is not yet clear whether information was consistently duplicated. Files by event type have been described as separate record subseries and envelopes will be described as items within these when resources permit.

Conditions Governing Access note
Access restrictions:
Access to the NZSAC records is open to 'bona-fide scholars or persons with a relevant need if they appear suitable to the Librarian'. Note that some files contain personal data, subject to the Privacy Act 1993.
Access to the posters is unrestricted, but use is restricted as follows: "This material has been copied by the Library of Victoria University of Wellington under Section 55(a)of the Copyright Act 1994. You may make a digital or print copy for your personal research and study use. You may not make copies of an image or part of an image for other persons, or distribute an image or part of an image to other persons by any means whatsoever including mounting the image on a server, without the written permission of Victoria University of Wellington and the copyright owner. You may not modify an image or incorporate an image or part of an image in another work without the written permission of Victoria University of Wellington and the copyright owner. You must include this copyright statement in any copy that you make."
