Seeger, 1929 - 1945
Scope and Contents
A collection of photocopied sheet music and song lyrics, accompanied by some background information and context of those songs. It appears that the material was compiled by Pete Seeger from his time on duty during WWII, in one instance he signs off the information as, “Pete Seeger, Saipan – 1945”. The collection was retrieved from the Archive of Folk Culture at the Library of Congress. The date the material was photocopied is unspecified. The subject matter of the material suggests a date range of c. 1929-1945.
