Access & use
This material is freely accessible within the J.C.Beaglehole Room for research and private study. Enquiries for any use beyond this should be directed to the J.C.Beaglehole Room (email@example.com) in the first instance.
The date as typed indicates these journals began in 1837. However, a handwritten note to Dr Stout from "Andrew S." states that Empson's travels in the Bay of Islands were in 1840, which places the beginning of the volume in 1839.
