Synopsis: Time's Up is the short version of the documentary Regardless of Sex (1988, 55 mins). These are important films on the issues of equal pay and women's rights. It presents their history, the arguments of women as to how they should be implemented and the lives and beliefs of three women involved in the nurses 1985 campaigns before the Conciliation and Arbitration Commission. In Australia, the earnings of women in the work force average 67% of male earnings. The campaign argued that equal pay for work of comparable worth should lead to financial upgrading of the nursing profession. Both productions were produced for television broadcast as part of the 1986 Women's Film Unit at Film Australia programme.
