Scope and Contents
Contains a series of correspondence addressed to Angus McCurdy, regarding 'Magic Lanterns'.The correspondents include; E.S. Pegler 'Photo Supply Stores', the superintendent of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts and James Bamforth of the Optical Lantern Slide Manufacturer. Also includes some correspondence concerning the purchase of a piano from F.J. Pinny in Wellington. A voting paper for the Upper Hutt Mayoral election (1933) is included with McCurdy being a candidate and a letter from H. Pauli and Co. discusses a 'Mr. Wilford' and why Pauli will not be voting for him (1907). Also includes two copies of 'The South Wairarapa Sentinel from January 24 and 25, 1965, and a poem titled "Fighting Mac" by Tam O'Shanter. The date range of the collection is c. 1906-1965.
