Negative News
Scope and Contents
A collection of newspaper articles that either analyse, demonstrate or debunk ‘negative’ journalism. Topics include modern day muckraking, news as the “enemy of hope”, distrust of politicians, unveiling Bill Clinton’s ill-temperament, the media circus around the infamous character of Amy Bock, profiling CNN’s Robert Edward Turner and an article about New Zealand’s poor perception of those of Asian descent, particularly Chinese. The publication date range is April-October, 1994.
