Contains the newspaper article of ‘Case of the Face on the Bar-Room Floor’, Truth, March 19 1957, p 1, p 19, both the original and three photocopies. The article details the police surveillance of the New Judgeford Golf Club in Pauatahanui, who were accused of the unlawful sale of alcohol. The title refers to Sgt. Smillie of the Wellington Police, who crawled under the floor and presented the evidence of what he had heard and saw in court.
