Scope and Contents
Contains printed copies of photographic mounting cards held at the U.S. National Archives, along with handwritten notes, a regulations of public use guidebook and a general guide to the still pictures collection of the Archives. The images depict an array of subjects including WWI and WWII marines, Red Cross worker, civilians in wartime, musicians and performers [printed versions of these copies can be found in the ‘U.S. Army Photos’ envelope, cabinet 2, drawer 4, box 4]. The date range of the original images are c. 1918-1945.
