Scope and Contents
A collection of newspaper clippings, correspondence and handwritten notes. The collection is predominantly military focused, although the topics within this are varied. Some of these topics included are: Obituaries; Perceptions of New Zealand during WWII; The Cold war; recollection and remembrance; New Zealand and Greece relationship; U.S. Marines in Wellington; Charles Upham (decorating former New Zealand soldier); military funding; Boer war veterans; Wellington ‘invasion’; the Springbok tour and the space age. The publication date range is c.1938-2006. The subject matter includes dates as far back as 1899.
