Scope and Contents
A collection photographs and along with a photocopied army announcement that warns “all members of the Army and Royal Air Force proceeding on leave to Cairo” to beware of spies when they engage in conversation with the locals. The photos depict an array of scenes with subjects including Soviet soldiers, Dwight Eisenhower, Winston Churchill, Field Marshal Montgomery, Marshal Rokossovsky, King George VI, Pastor Niemoller, Commander Fraser, Admiral Nimitz and Malay soldiers and citizens. Origin date range is c. 1940-1945.
