Contains two newspaper clippings, ‘The brink of the Cold War’, The Times, November 18 1977, p 16, and Gardiner, James, ‘Medals recall Kiwi’s help for partisans’, The Dominion, April 27 1989, p 1. Discusses the changing opinions of Yugoslavian partisans. Escaped New Zealand prisoners of war aided their fight against the Germans, however by 1945 allied forces would oppose the group due to their communist ideas. Subject matter date range is c. 1941-1989.
