Stars and Stripes Article
Scope and Contents
A collection of handwritten notes, newspaper clippings and correspondence. The focus is primarily on the WWI publication of Stars and Stripes, and what its Americanism did for the welfare of American soldiers during the conflict. Also included is LC’s contribution to an Encyclopedia of Popular Culture about Stars and Stripes. Publication date range is 1921-1992. The subject matter date range is 1918-1919 and 1992.
