Summary of contents
Contains a series of correspondence, a newspaper clipping and two typed manuscripts by the titles of ‘The Corpse Beauty’, ‘The Hero in New Zealand Fiction’ and an untitled third manuscript. The correspondence is between LC and John Winder, in which they discuss New Zealand Fiction, Robin Hyde in particular. The manuscripts follow this trend, discussing how New Zealand authors grappled with conflict in New Zealand society in their work. The newspaper clipping is a critique of a recent history of Major Von Tempsky in which the correspondent outline the facts of his life. The only indicated dates of the collection are those of the correspondence, June 8 – July 23, 1965.
